Giving back to the community – Women’s Refuge

Throughout the month of August, Campbell Plumbing and Gasfitting proudly gifted a Safe Night at women’s refuge for every job that was booked. We are stoked to announce the team raised $2,000 to gift 100 Safe Nights!

Women’s Refuge are doing amazing work to make our communities a kinder and safer place. $20 from each job was just a small cut we were willing to take on the chin to hopefully make a big difference in people’s lives. Because sadly, every night in New Zealand, over 200 women and children need a safe place to stay.

There’s no shame in asking for help, but for some it can be a very hard thing to do. Women’s Refuge provide easy and discreet help in times of need, one of their initiatives is providing a Safe Night for anyone who needs emergency accommodation. A Safe Night at Women’s Refuge includes a safe, clean bed, hot meals, secure transport, support, advice, and a 24/7 help line.

We are always looking for ways to give back to our community, and we couldn’t think of a more deserving cause to support. Knowing we have contributed to 100 Safe Nights for women and children, makes our work that much more rewarding. A massive shout out to the amazing work Women’s refuge do every single day across Aotearoa!
